Compass Mining is a premiere Bitcoin Mining company that specializes in hosting hardware for our clients along side our world class facility partners. We always aim to provide the best hosting environment for your machines by maintaining airflow, filtration and cleanliness. Even so machines can get damaged and need to be repaired. Our remote and onsite teams will always try to correct issues with your machines without replacing parts by doing things such as upgrading firmware, cleaning the machine or rebooting the device but if this doesn't restore performance we will work with you to get the unit repaired.
We have skilled staff who can complete various repairs at our Denver Service Center. Additionally we partner with repair vendors around the world to offer the quickest and cheapest repairs. We will handle the logistics but you are responsible for the repair costs.
We will always try to get your machine up and running before you notice its offline and will notify you of any needed repairs. If you ever notice a unit is down for more than 48 hours please check our facility status page to see if there is a facility wide issue going on. If there is nothing notable there then contact us by submitting a Offline/Underhashing ticket. Once we receive your ticket we will kick off the diagnostics and repair process as needed to get your unit back up and running.

RMA service and repairs can take up to 8-12 weeks to complete in some cases. We are working to improve this timing every day but we must rely on the Authorized Service Providers for speed of service in these cases. Preventive maintenance is performed by the sites at no additional cost to the customer. We do offer additional maintenance and cleaning service's along with parts at a competitive price.
ASIC Miner Parts
Compass Mining provides Free Fan replacements for our retail hosting clients. Below is our fee schedule for all other parts and services for the latest gen Bitcoin Mining ASICS. We take pride in the level of service provided by our team and we have some of the best technicians in the industry that regularly assist our hosting partners with diagnostics and repairs. We have implemented a set of standards that are applied to these sites and they are reevaluated from time to time. We will always try to do repairs on site but will often have to ship the units to get fixed. Altcoin, niche and small batch miners may require custom pricing to match industry part costs. Prices are subject to change based on the availability of the parts across the industry.

Shipping Cost: (One-way insured)
Customers are responsible for covering the cost from the Facility to the repair center for in warranty repairs. The return shipping is covered by the warranty. If a unit is being shipped out for repair out of warranty the outgoing and return shipping is charged to the customer.

FAQ
Why is there shipping for services?
Parts pricing includes the shipping cost, while services do not. Most of our facilities do not have the tools or equipment required for these advanced services. We only use the most high quality equipment to service your miners. If the service is offered at the local facility you will not be charged for shipping.
How long will my repair take?
The estimated times are given based on previous experience and the number of tickets in the queue. The estimate is from the time the repair is approved till the miner is returned to the rack.
Why does my miner require international shipping?
Some warranty repairs require shipping to the manufacturer's facility. In this case, the repair is free but you must pay for the shipping. If you would prefer to pay for the part or repair, you do not have to wait for the miner to come back from the manufacturer.
What is ultrasonic cleaning?
Ultrasonic cleaning is common in many industries and its used to clean electronics, metals, or glass products. This process uses ultrasound technology to send high intensity soundwaves through a cleaning solution to remove dirt and debris at a microscopic level on hard to clean products. This process works especially well on hard to clean PCB (Printed Circuit Boards) or hashboards. With hundreds of heat sinks and lots of small crevasses, the only way to ensure your hashboards look like new when its returned to the racks for service is ultrasonic machine.

Why do some machines experience performance issues when first installed?
Due to the competitive nature of this industry ASIC miners are designed and manufactured quickly. Minimal quality assurance testing is done in order to get machines out the door as quickly as possible. If manufacturers spend too much time testing they will fall behind the curve and be beat out by their competitors. Over time as the efficiency of these machines gets better and starts plateauing we anticipate quality assurance standards to improve. With that in mind we will always work with our customers to get them hashing to their intended hashrate.
About Our Standards
Due to some of the experiences we have had, Compass Mining sets high expectations for ourselves and our hosting partners. All KPIs are taken into consideration when the renewal of our hosting agreements comes up. If there is a breach of the SLA we will take swift action to rectify it, but this process takes time and consideration of many factors.
Please be aware that some of the sites we deal with may be short-handed or have supply chain issues at times. This is no excuse for delays, but if the level of service our hosting partners provide falls below expectations we implement a set of probationary KPIs that the facility must abide by. If the standards are not met the hosting provider is considered for contract termination.
