You may have noticed a change in the payment process when using a credit or debit card. This is because Compass Mining has integrated a new processor to improve security continuity and support for our customers. The primary change you will notice is that card payments are now processed securely from our website instead of from a 3rd party. For the majority of our customers this is a seamless change but we have included a few frequently asked questions below to help with this transition.
What Security Changes Have Been Added?
The new payment processor has 2 added levels of verification to help prevent fraud and chargebacks. This includes:
- Address verification
- CVV Verification
If either of these fields are inaccurate and does not match the bank record then your payment will get declined. Please reach-out if you have questions.
What Security Checks are being made?
Issuing bank checks zip code and cvv. If this doesn't match their record the transaction will be declined. If you are experiencing any payment issues please contact your bank to verify this information first. (zip code, cvv, confirm that tx goes through or if it was dropped.
