There are several ways to pay for your mining hardware and invoices. You can use these methods at checkout or when paying outstanding invoices on your dashboard. Invoices include hosting, repairs and other services such as protection. Below we will list some of the different methods and explain any details regarding them.
Bitcoin (On-Chain):
Customers have the ability to select Bitcoin when making a payment. When making this selection customers will be provided with a bitcoin address and an amount that needs to be paid. Customers can use any Bitcoin wallet they choose. Using your wallet of choice you will have the option to scan the QR code or copy and paste the address. Once done enter and verify the amount. Funds will be sent from your wallet to Compass Mining. Transaction will not be marked as completed until the funds have been confirmed on the blockchain. If your wallet permits it be sure to select a fee that will get confirmed within 2 hours. Once miner orders /invoice transactions are confirmed they will move to a pending state. Once we have 3-6 confirmations the miner order/invoice will move to completed. If you have concerns with confirmation times please reach out and we will assist you.
Bitcoin (Lightning):
Customers have the ability to select Lightning when making a payment. When making this selection customers will be provided with a lightning address and an amount that needs to be paid. Customers can use any wallet they choose. Using your wallet of choice you will have the option to scan the QR code or copy and paste the address. Once done verify that everything looks correct before hitting send. If the transaction is successful you will receive confirmation on the Compass Mining website and within your wallet. This typically happens within a few seconds of hitting send.
Coinbase/Crypto:
Compass Mining has integrated with Coinbase to allow customers to pay for miner orders and invoices with several different crypto currencies such as ETH, and USDC. If you select this method of payment you will be redirected to a Coinbase UI that lets you log into your Coinbase account or make a payment using your crypto wallet. Follow the instructions on the screen and use an appropriate fee to make sure your payment goes through smoothly. These payments should happen within a few seconds once you hit send and you will get a Confirmation from your wallet and Compass Mining site.
Credit/Debit Card:
Credit and Debit card transactions follow the flow you would expect from most online commerce sites. Once selected you will be prompted to enter in your billing address and card information. Carefully review the information on the screen before hitting submit. Shipping address will be requested for any ship to home orders.
Wire/ACH:
When purchasing a miner by wire or ACH It is important to follow the bank instructions provided when filling out the information for the wire. These payment types are typically reserved for large payments and the invoices will be generated with the help of a sales manager. Wire instructions differ based on if your bank is located in the US or internationally. Please make sure to select the correct option.
Wire transactions are irreversible. Please make sure that you have provided your bank with the correct information before pressing send.
Please allow 1-2 business days for your funds from the wire transfer to arrive. Once we have received the funds we will add the reservation to your dashboard.
Can I use credits on my miner orders?
Yes, you can use up to $500 in credits can be used on miner orders. There is a field to enter this amount on your checkout screen. This will be deducted from the check out cost.
Can I use credits on my invoices?
Yes, you can use credits when paying for invoices. There is no limit to how much credits you can spend when paying invoices and you can even cover the full invoice cost with credits if you have enough on your account.
