What is the miner retirement program?
By retiring a unit, you can end your hosting contract and transfer ownership to Compass Mining to handle the miner’s end-of-life. Depending on its condition, the miner may be upcycled, dismantled for spare parts, or otherwise reused.
What is the miner upgrade program?
The upgrade program allows customers to easily switch to the latest generation hardware by terminating the hosting contract on their current miner and trading it in for a discount on a new-generation miner purchase. Discount amounts and eligibility depend on the models involved. *

Which units can I retire?
All units are eligible for retirement. However, depending on the length of the remaining hosting contract, customers may be liable for early contract termination penalties.
Which miners can I upgrade to?
Any hosted or featured latest-generation miners listed on our website are eligible for upgrade. Miners listed on the marketplace do not qualify for upgrade discounts.
